The Arkansas Motor Vehicle Commission licenses New Motor Vehicle Dealers, Used Branches of New Motor Vehicle Dealers, Manufacturers, Converters, Salespersons, Lessors, Distributors, and Representatives of Manufacturers and Distributors. The AMVC does not issue licenses to Used Vehicle Dealers. Used Vehicle Dealers are licensed by the Arkansas State Police.(You may reach their office at 501-618-8606 or 501-618-8617).

Arkansas Statutory Code is legislatively mandated while AMVC Rules are prepared by the AMVC Commission Staff and Counsel with the assistance of our licensees with many facets of the industry in mind. In considering AMVC Rules, the Commission’s primary responsibility is to protect consumers from unfair practices.
